STI/STD Testing
We offer free women's STI/STD screening for many common pathogens. This can easily be done through a urine test. You and your partner receive no-cost treatment if you test positive for gonorrhea, chlamydia, or trichomoniasis. On site BV (Bacterial Vaginosis) testing and treatment are also available. More comprehensive screening is also offered through blood testing at no cost.
What to Expect at Your STI/STD Testing Appointment?
When you first arrive you will be asked for your ID and fill out basic intake paperwork. The medical staff will bring you back and request a urine sample. They will review your information and obtain a more detailed history to determine the level of recommended testing. Basic screening for the most common pathogens can be done with a simple urine test. Comprehensive screening with blood work is optional. An exam may be offered if concerning symptoms are present, but this is not necessary for most testing appointments. The results are usually available within 1-2 business days. The medical staff will confidentially contact you with the results using your requested form of communication.
If results are positive and you need treatment, you will be given another appointment to return for further instructions and medication will be provided. Your partner(s) may also schedule an appointment to receive testing and treatment. If you test positive for an STI/STD which is our of our scope of treatment protocols, you may be referred to the Health Department, your OB/GYN provider, or your PCP for further evaluation and treatment.
