Cookeville Pregnancy Clinic Foundation

Jesus is the Master Architect of the Cookeville Pregnancy Clinic. As Volunteers, Board Members and Staff we hold these foundational truths as principles for our lives and for the lives of those we serve in the Cookeville Pregnancy Clinic. (excerpts from Andy Merritt's CPC Training Manual)

Brick #1 Everyone has intrinsic worth since we are all created in God's image despite the circumstances of conception and all are the objects of God's love as Christ died for all despite our rebellion and sin. We are created in the image of God. (John 1:1-14 and Psalm 139:13-18)

Brick #2 The CPC exists primarily to put God on display. We are committed to the high calling of the Great Commission. (Matthew 5:16)

Brick #3 Involvement with the CPC is not so much out of a commitment to the pro-life cause, as good as that may be, but out of a commitment to the Lordship of Christ and to love hurting people through Him. We are committed to live lives of purity and desire to become like Christ. (Romans 12:1-2)

Brick #4 The CPC exists to show the unconditional love of God and we are committed to demonstrate that love toward all regardless of race, religion, lifestyle, or those who forsake our counsel and obtain an abortion. We are committed to love unconditionally. (Philippians 2:3-8)

"Unless the Lord builds the house, we all labor in vain who build it." -- Psalm 127:1

Brick #5 The CPC is an evangelistic arm of the local church with all services based upon the authority of God's Word. We are committed to sharing the Gospel message of salvation and discipleship as opportunities arise. (II Timothy 4:1-2)

Brick #6 The CPC was birthed by God through prayer and will be sustained by God through prayer. Prayer and spiritual warfare are a priority at the CPC. We are committed to pray. (Ephesians 6:10-20)

Brick #7 The CPC is committed to family ministry by: (a) upholding the sanctity of marriage (Matthew 19:3-6). (b) promoting moral purity and sexual abstinence before marriage. (1 Thessalonians 4:2-8) (c) respecting parental authority in the lives of those we serve with a goal to minister to the entire family. (Colossians 3:18-21 and Malachi 4:6)

Brick #8 The CPC is committed to working with believers of different denominations with a spirit of unity and love. (Ephesians 4:1-6, Psalm 133)

Brick #9 We are committed to total dependency on God for His financial provision of this ministry. There can be many different methods in raising financial support but regardless our method...our trust and dependence must be upon God alone, not our methods. (Philippians 4:19)

Brick #10 We are committed to absolute integrity and holy character in all decisions, finances, and lifestyle of the staff, volunteers and Board of Directors. ( I Thessalonians 2:3-4)
